Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actress. She was best known as Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and won Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 and 2014. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. The actress fell in love with acting in the Preparatory school, before moving to Ohio with her family in the mid-70s. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre as well as the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her professional career with Chicago-area theaters for a short time. Then she moved to film and television. Anna had her first big part in the role of Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes from 1992. Following her appearance as a Guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 90's She was then chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. Skyler was her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood was also an integral an integral part of her professional work. Gunn has also appeared on the stage for David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes called Numbered Days, which was made available in 2022. The relationship between Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the narrative in Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and eventually its demise similar to the arc that was Walter White's last years of his life.
