In order to save money the young woman took on a variety of job opportunities that included part-time work for up to 18 months. Some were completely free. In her position as a waitress in the cinema and a waitress at a restaurant, she was able take advantage of free movies. She also worked at restaurants where meals were provided at no cost. Also, she worked at Disneyland at the time of the sale, where tickets are not charged. She often had two jobs at one time. Her last job which was solely for the paycheck was full-time at the eyeglass factory, where she was inspecting contacts.
